Nautica Men's N14536 NST Chronograph Watch

If you like big dial watches and sport/Casual wear watches... HERE IT IS!!!, very nice and versatile casual/sport watch.

Water resistant 330 ft
Cronograph (1 Sec - 1 hour)
Date
24 Hour dial

Great watch. Nice, solid construction. Keeps great time. Easy to read. Very comfortable strap/watch feel. The watch looked too big in the photo, but after getting it and wearing it for a couple of minutes, yes big, too big? No! It's a conversation starter, for sure. Attractive finish, accents, etc. Can be worn everyday or just to the office. Casual, yet sophisticated. I would highly recommend this watch to anyone looking for a well priced, well made, casual sport watch with a very masculine appeal. Only drawback, no Indiglo? The hour/min. hands glow in the dark...as do the hour markers, but it's hard to tell the time 5 hours after the last daylight...

Great Looks + Great Price! This is my third Nautica watch and the quality is very good.

TAG Heuer Women's WAF1412.BA0823 Aquaracer Ladies Watch

I purchased this watch 4 weeks ago and was very happy with the quick postage , packaging and the watch itself. However, after only 2 weeks , when I attempted to change the date ( it was 12hrs out) the winder ( crown) just snapped off. I contacted Amazon as it within 30 days but due to the fact that I had worn the watch ( I had to get it resized too) , I was not eligible for a refund. The crown is not considered part of the watch movement either so it was not covered by the Amazon warranty. I have had to get it privately repaired for close to $200. Very disappointed with this Tag. Previously owned a Longines for 15yrs without any hassles.

I don't recommend this watch. I haven't had the watch for a year and it turns my wrist black after wearing it for a day. If I understand correctly it's only coated in stainless steel, once it wears off there is nickel in the wristband that reacts with my skin. Very disappointing after you spend this much on a watch. I expected more from Tag Heuer.

I bought this watch for my wife as an second year anniversary gift. It is an excellent watch. The fact that the TAG HEUER brand is printed in green and red makes it even look better. My wife says that she can wear this watch with either fancy dresses or with casuals. I strongly recommend it!

TAG Heuer Women's WAF1412.BA0823 Aquaracer Ladies Watch

TAG Heuer traces its roots to the small Swiss village of St-Imier where, in 1860, a watchmaker named Edouard Heuer opened his first shop. His vision was to create remarkable timepieces that pushed the envelope of innovation and precision. The company's reputation grew, and Heuer's first patent for a chronograph mechanism in 1882 was followed by a long list of achievements: the first stopwatch accurate to 1/100 of a second, the first dashboard stopwatch for race cars, the first miniature electronic timekeeping device accurate to 1/1000th of a second, and the first automatic movement with a microrotor, to name just a few.

Over the years, Heuer's reputation for gold-standard precision earned the company the privilege of providing official timing services for a number of world-class competitive sporting events, including the Olympic Games, the FIS Ski World Cup, and the FIA Formula 1 World Championships. To this day, TAG Heuer maintains a close association with the world of competitive sports and enjoys a devoted following among sports celebrities and enthusiasts. In 1985, Heuer joined the TAG (Techniques D'Avant-Garde) group, and the TAG Heuer name and logo were created. Now one of the most recognized and sought-after watch brands in the world, TAG Heuer continues its reputation of innovative design and technological excellence, creating prestigious timepieces that are always at the cutting edge of precision, reliability and style.

Diplomat Single Black Watch Winder with Built In IC Timer

I own six diplomat winders including this little gem. It spins a 270 gram watch with no difficulty. I have had mine for four months and keep it near my bed. The movement is soundless and runs like a champ. I have had good success with the diplomat brand of winders as oppossed to the problems some have had with the more expensive brands. A great piece of furniture this is not. It just does the job of keeping your watches wound. Watches with a max band width of 26mm and 50mm case width should fit.

Wore it for less than two weeks and the second piece fell right off. It is just bouncing around in the case now. You pay for what you get.

The watch is very good looking, but that's all. The light and the alarm don't work. Is this normal? I don't think so. According to instructions, both, the light and the alarm should work correctly.

Timex Women's T5K026 Ironman Sleek Digital Resin Strap Watch

This is the second time I buy this watch. My first one lasted 4+ years. I can do the dishes, shower, swim while wearing it and it does not get damaged. It's very easy to program - very idiot proof. I also love the fact that it helps me with my running intervals so that I can run injury free using the Jeff Galloway method. That indiglo feature is very convenient to check the time when it's dark and the cell phone is out of reach. Oh, did I mention that it's so comfortable I wear it 24/7?

I love the way the watch looks, and it works great, but the color is already wearing off the start/split button and the clear part of the face is scratched. Not a big deal to me, but might be to someone else!

UPDATE March 13, 2010: After 4 months, the face is starting to pull away from the band, leaving a gap where they used to connect at the top & bottom. It still seems firmly seated, but looks like it's falling apart, and I don't know how long it will last at this point. I'm changing my rating from 4 stars to 3.

UPDATE February 3, 2011: It hasn't fallen apart yet! I still wear the watch daily, but it's still got those gaps at the top and bottom of where the face connects to the band.

UPDATE April 1, 2011: Not even 18 months and the band disintegrated overnight. It literally broke apart in two different places while I was sleeping. The watch itself is still functioning, but since you can't just slap a new band on there I tossed it. I won't be buying another, and I'm downgrading my rating again. While I do wear my watches 24/7, with the exception of water activities, I still expect them to last at least a few years.

This watch is great looking, but unfortunately you can't swim with it. It claims it's water resistant to 300 feet, but after one lap in the pool, water had collected under the face of the watch. Amazon was terrific about returning it though.

Timex Women's T5K026 Ironman Sleek Digital Resin Strap Watch

Timex

The Timex Watch Company

Timex Group B.V. is one of the best-known American watch companies. Timex's U.S. headquarters are located in Middlebury Connecticut and it has substantial operations in China, the Philippines and India and full scale sales companies in Canada, the UK, France and Mexico.

The company began in 1854 as Waterbury Clock in Connecticut's Naugatuck Valley, known during the nineteenth century as the "Switzerland of America." Sister company Waterbury Watch manufactured the first inexpensive mechanical pocket watch in 1880. During World War I, Waterbury began making wristwatches, which had only just become popular, and in 1933 it made history by creating the first Mickey Mouse clock under license from Walt Disney, with Mickey's hands pointing the time.

During World War II, Waterbury renamed itself U.S. Time Company. In 1950 the company introduced a wristwatch called the Timex. Over the next three decades, Timex was sold through a series of advertisements which emphasized its durability by putting the watch through "torture tests," such as falling over the Grand Coulee Dam or being strapped to the propeller of an outboard motor, with the slogan "It takes a licking and keeps on ticking." With the help of former Olympic broadcaster, spokesman John Cameron Swayze, sales took off. The company later became Timex Corporation, then Timex Group and, to date, has sold over one billion watches.

The company has remained very competitive and the Timex brand continues its dominance through present day. Its primary market remains the United States and Canada, although the Timex brand is sold worldwide due to its ability to capitalize on its strong brand image and reputation for quality.

One of the most successful and important features available on many Timex watches is the Indiglo backlight system. Indiglo is a brand name of Indiglo Corporation, solely owned by Timex for licensing purposes. Timex electroluminescent lamps, branded Indiglo, were introduced in 1992 in the Ironman watch line. They were an immediate success. The Indiglo® lamp uniformly lights the surface of the Timex’s watch dials in a manner that makes the dial read very easily in many different light settings. In some newer watches the Indiglo backlight only lights up the numbers, rather than the entire LCD display, which is achieved by means of a specialized film that inverts the LCD transmissivity.

Today, Timex Group products are manufactured in the Far East and in Switzerland often based on technology that continues to be developed in the United States and in Germany. With a large and varied line of watches, Timex has the style for everyone. From the locker room to the board room, there is a great Timex style time-piece for you.

    Hamilton Men's H77616533 Khaki X Chronograph Watch

This watch looks like it's worth many times its $1K pricetag. Everything about this watch says quality. The leather strap is very thick and looks like it is worth $100 just by itself. The watch has a lot of heft to it and has a nice size face. The valjoux 7750 movement (which another reviewer mentioned) is used in almost all Swiss chronographs and is considered to be a durable, workhorse automatic movement. Most of the watches that use this movement (such as Breitling) sell for thousands more than this watch. Only problem with this watch is that all your other watches will pale in comparison to it. I never want to wear any of my other watches these days.

Surprised to find that some reviewers had a bad experience with this watch. If you look on the watch forums online you will find that this watch is considered to be the gold standard for affordable Swiss chronographs. This may be the kind of watch that you should purchase from a jeweler (I bought mine at Kay Jewelry) so that the salesperson can explain to you exactly what you are buying.

I actually bought this at an AD, but nevertheless here's a small review:
The dial itself is very unique and believe me the 2 silver sub dials make a big difference in the way this looks. A 44MM case is rather imposing but doesnt look monstrous. The day-date feature for me, however could have been a bit avoidable. I would have been comfortable with just the date. I have many watches and rarely wear the same watch on 2 days back to back. What this means is that the watch stops after the 40 hour power-reserve (which I havent tested yet) and then its back to manually starting it again and changing both the day and date with the am/pm becomes a chore - I know the solution to this is a watch winder, but I havent gotten around to getting one yet. I dont use the pilots crowns for complicated measurements at all (neither do most other users that I have seen reviews of), but this sure looks cool. The movement itself, the Valjoux 7750 is quite a durable movement and Breitlings who have an improvised inhouse modded version of this movement use it in their watches that sell for several times more - so this is what Hamilton provides at such an affordable price. I now find the concept of batteries in watches, strangely a bit turn-offish.

The watch has such an amazing 'buddy' personality and class that somehow just feels right and not over-done. Even my tags, omegas and breitlings havent quite given me this feeling. However, with automatics, its important to periodically get these serviced - once every 5 years or so. I only had one bad experience (I have had 2 khaki X winds) - the first watch I got - the day and date plates kept jamming - since this was under warranty I got another one and then realized that you are never meant to change either the day or date field between 8PM and 3AM - reason is that around this time, the gears that control the day/date change are in motion and to manually try and change this field, affects the gears and hence the functionality in the long run. The strap is also uber-thick, but not in a gross way. The white stitching and the 2 rivets only add to the vintage/timeless allure of the product.

Go ahead, spend the money and enjoy this lovely product for decades to come.

. . .For the price, unbeatable. With three screwdown crowns and three rotating bezels (two internal, one external),this is simply more watch than most people will ever use (or understand). The extra features built into the X-wind models allow a pilot to calculate speed and wind data into a flight plan. That being said, you will not find many other sporty Swiss made chronographs of this caliber costing less than two to four times as much. The build quality, design and finish work are all first rate with a number of classic details that manage to combine into a most unique package.

Seiko Divers Automatic Black Monster SKX779K Men's Watch

I have a number of watches in my collection; big, small; digital, analog; Divers, Chronographs, Atomics ... I love watches. But I recently began a search of reasonably priced self-winders. It also had to be reliable, and I would prefer a diver-type style. The past couple years I've taken a liking to Invicta watches, but their quality is hit and miss. The low end (less than $100) Invicta seems less reliable than the lowly Timex; any good self-winding Invicta seems to start around $250-300.

I love Amazon's suggestioned item. It picked up on my quest for an auto-winder diver watch, and steered me HERE. The Seiko SKX779 "Black Monster." Review after review was glowing. Overall, a 4 1/2 star watch, for less than $200. And Seiko reliability is unquestioned and unparalleled.

Look/Feel - I would think a "monster" of a watch would be big, along the lines of Invicta's Grand Lupah. That's not the case at all. A little bigger than some of my watches, but not overly so. This has a nice stainless steel band, and it is a hefty watch. It feels solid, like it was chiseled out of a single piece of metal. The glow-dial feature is bright and makes it easy to read in the dark. Even the feel of the turning bezel has a solid, quality feel to it.

Accuracy - I really have nothing to compare it to as everything in my collection is battery/quartz or solar/atomic. I've had it for a month or so, and it runs a little fast, about 1-2 minutes a month; and for an analog watch, that's fine. I usually do not look at an analog watch and say "it's 11:12PM", I look and say, "it's about ten after eleven ...". In my book, "close is close enough" for any non-quartz watch.

Self-winding - I love it. Again, nothing to compare it to except the observations of others. It runs about 2 days before petering out. This has only happened once to me. I wear it nearly everyday. I am looking at auto-winders to keep it going when I am not wearing it (suggestions for a good one, under $75 or so are welcome!).

So to all who took the time to write a review, and follow-up with thoughtful comments, along with links to watch lover's blogs, thank you. I couldn't be happier with the watch, and hope my review steers others to purchase this watch. You won't be disappointed.

Oh my God this is a cool watch. If you want a steel sunflower on your wrist, if you want to be both funky and elegant, if you want to be hip and down to earth all at once, you certainly want this watch. James Bond is not cool because he wants to wear an Omega instead of this thing. Forget the fantastic brand history, forget the reliability and durability, forget the price even - this watch is both beautiful and radical: if you don't want that, you need to ask yourself why.

I have owned the "black monster" for three years now. Sold my "yellow monster" to my son because he liked it so much and I found I did not care for the yellow face. Both are rugged, solid watches. The yellow is four years old and the black is three years old. They gain 3-5 minutes per month, but most automatics do. You have to change the date five months out of the year anyway, so a reset is no problem every other month. Had a general contractor doing some work for us and he liked the black monster so much he went out and ordered on, too.

Tissot Men's T0244172705100 Veloci-T Chronograph Black Dial Watch

I was worried it might be a bit big as I have small wrists but it's great. I wear it all the time. Definitely better looking than the photo.

My only cons are, it pinches a bit at the clasp, and with my failing eyes, the date is hard to read and the hands disappear in the dark. ( I work in a dark Bar and its mostly impossible to read it there, never holds a glow).

I'll start by stating I'm a Tissot fan. I have not found a more accurate time keeping machine. I use my Tissot watches as reference when I wear my automatic watches after several days in the automatic winder.
As all Veloci-T watches, this one is very sporty, with good quality materials, and the red/black combination, black rubber band included, looks great. Size is nice, too (@42mm, not to big, not too small).
The only reason for my 4-star rating is because I believe the watch's readability could have been better (specially the grey-on-grey seconds sub-dial), as well as luminosity (only main hour and minute hands have luminiscent material - would have been nice in the hour indicators as well).
Overall, a great watch with some minor flaws.

This is a great looking watch... very readable and very comfortable, and have had no complications. The only problems is the clasp is a little bit of a pain, but overall I would recommend this watch...can't go wrong with tissot

    Nixon 51-30 Chrono - Men's ( Matte Black/Dark Tortoise )

The appeal of this watch is its HEAVY look and feel. The watch itself seems to perform alright but IT WILL BREAK!! Both myself and a buddy of mine have had the same issue. The weight of the watch is great, not for everyone but i enjoy it, but the pins in the band won't hold up. When it breaks you'll be asked for credit card information and have to send it to Nixon (ON YOUR DOLLAR) before they'll even tell you what you owe. Being that it weighs as much as it does, it'll cost you $15.00 just to send it in. THEY WON'T COVER THE ISSUE ON WARRANTY AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXCEEDINGLY RUDE!!! This is the first review I've ever written and I'm not a drama queen. For the money this watch costs YOU'LL BE DOING YOURSELF A SUPREME DISSERVICE IN BUYING IT!! Thanks Nixon, I'll never do business with you again!

This watch caught my eye immediately while I was looking on line for a watch. I have received so many compliments on this watch. It goes with everything. Even when I wear silver, I am able to incorporate it into my outfit.

My wife loved the Michael Kors watch.
    I recommend as a gift to girlfriends/wife. ;-)

    Alex

I love my watch. When I first received it was too tight and I wasn't sure if I cared for the style and I was going to exchange it, but when I sent back to Savvy watch they could not accept the watch back because I wore it for a while and there were minor scratches. Since I could not exchange, Savvy Watch wanted to make sure that I was happy with my purchase so they ordered additional links for me and added them to the watch with no charge. Since I received the watch back I love it and get many compliments on it. Could not be happier now with my purchase.

Most popular Swatch Men’s Originals Legendary Eagle Chronograph SUIK400 Resin Quartz Watch with White Dial

I was surprised how much I like this watch – very light and attractive.
The band is my biggest surprise as it is very comfortable and the watch stays in place.
The only drawback is the contrast of the minute and hour hands – they are metallic, open in the center with a small white spot (that does glow in the dark) at the end of each. However, the watch face is shinny silver and it is almost impossible to see the hands in anything but good light.
The picture on Amazon shows it as a muted gray – I wish I could change it to that – would be OK then – I’d give it a 5 star.
    I do like the watch!

    David

I saw this watch at Madrid Barajas airport and had to buy it… Its sports casual but has a sense of elegance in it even though it is all made of plastic! Feels very light and the constrast of the plastic with the metallic dial gives it a very good look…

Citizen Men’s BN0070-09E Eco-Drive Professional Diver Black Rubber Strap Watch

I purchased this watch just a few days ago, so I won’t be able to speak about it’s longevity or timekeeping, but I will tell you a bit about the watch which in turn may aid your buying decision. (I am holding back the 5th star until I have some months of use with the watch).

First, this is a very solid, somewhat heavy pro diver’s watch (but not as heavy as Seiko’s classic dive watches, such as the “Orange Monster” #SKX781). This watch was made with scuba and skin divers in mind. But surfers, swimmers, water skiiers and other sports and outdoor enthusiasts would like it too. While it is rated for 300 meter depths, it is not meant for helium dives. Of course, like me, you may not be a diver but still want a sturdy, good looking, solid watch that you can use in wet or dirty conditions, requires a minimum of maintenance, and will take some punishment along the way. While it is too early to say definitively, so far I am impressed with the weight, feel and solid construction.

It is a handsome watch, with alternating grey and black “waves” on the dial, which when viewed in the light, is really gorgeous. The hands and dial are easy to read, and they glow quite well in the dark, especially if exposed directly to a light source just before the lights go out. The date feature is nice, though the window and type size seems a tad small to me. The sides of the one way rotating bezel are highly polished steel, and very good looking. By the way, it’s absolutely silent.

The wide rubber strap is comfortable and attractive — but take note: the band that comes with this watch is extra long — made to go over a wet suit, or other article of clothing, like a long sleeve cotton pullover shirt, for example (The band is nearly 11 inches, end to end. By comparison, a typical man’s dress watch band might be 6.5 to 7.5 inches). You can certainly wear the watch on your bare wrist, but if you have an average size wrist, chances are good you will see the end of the strap facing up at you when it is closed around your wrist. Not a big deal, but non-divers may not like this.

Due to the design of this watch, only the Citizen brand rubber strap that comes with this model will fit the watch. No other brand will fit. So if you do buy this watch, and plan to keep it, do yourself a favor and buy an extra strap or two for future use. Rubber does eventually wear out and break, so eventually you will likely need a spare.

I am not as enamored (yet) of the Eco-Drive light powered system that needs no batteries, only for the reason that you do need to put some thought into how you will keep the watch charged. For example, to fully charge it you will need to expose it to sunlight for many hours or to incandescent light (bulb) for even more. Now of course you can place it under a lamp (not less than 20″ from the lamp to the watch dial) and leave it to charge. Or you can place it near a window* that gets sun for most of the day. But however you do it, you will need to keep this in mind. The good news is that, fully charged, this watch can go up to 6 months — in the dark — without an additional charge! And of course, if you are out playing tennis or golf outdoors, or even just out for a walk, it’s automatically recharging itself. (If you keep the watch covered with your sleeve however, it is my understanding that you are not recharging)

I will provide updates when I better understand what exactly is needed. One more thing — the capacitor, or energy storing “battery” in this watch NEVER needs replacement. It is simply a temporary storage device, holding the electrical energy that you direct into it via the light sources mentioned above. Furthermore, you need never open the watch to replace a battery, thus the watch stays factory sealed, providing much better protection from moisture, dust and other foreign contaminants.

I suppose the primary benefit of Eco-Drive is fewer batteries into the landfills (a good thing); on the other hand, putting in a battery every 2 to 4 years was never an inconvenience for me.

Overall, a handsome, eye catching watch that many men would love to own, especially as a weekend watch, a watch to wear if you make a living outdoors, or just knocking around the house on Saturday. This is a “guy” watch, which looks especially great when you’re wearing short sleeves. I would not say that it would pair well with a tuxedo, but hey, you could always start a new trend.

Psssst. Ladies, don’t tell the guys, but this model is available in a women’s size too. You can also get it with an orange band instead of black.

Hope this has been helpful. Feel free to ask questions and I will try to answer.

UPDATE (November 14, 2011): I’ve lived with the watch for over two years now. I easily adjusted to the concept of a solar powered watch within a month of buying the watch. There’s really nothing to it. Just leave it…

I’ve got this solid build, solar powered, sports watch for little over a month now. After 5 weeks of use it’s only 2 seconds off, which is very good. The watch is a pleasure to wear and even easy to read in the dark. 11 hours of sunlight is enough to charge it for half a year and office light will keep it going too, according the manual. Well that’s easy enough and so far I did not take any special precautions to charge it and wear it to the job and every where else. The mineral glass must be pretty hard because I already hit a few times quite hard and was afraid that I scratched it, but no it is still like new. The strap seems a little longer than on other watches but on my wrist (6-3/4″ circ.) it is no problem at all and fits great and comfortable. A minor thing that I don’t like is the small date window, without my reading glasses I can’t see the date well. But besides that it is a 5 star watch and for me this watch is definitely a keeper!
    ———
UPDATE I have this watch now for almost a year and it still runs great and I don’t even think about it that it’s a solar watch and needs light every now and then. I wear this watch every day and amazingly there is still no scratch on the glass and still waterproof in the lake and swimming pool. When I had to change the Daylight Savings time back this last fall it was about 15 seconds off, what means that this is a very good watch.

Reviews:Eric Edelhausen “Calypso” Men’s Full Calendar with Moon Phase Watch

    This is a very elegant-looking and multi-functional yellow-gold watch.
Dark-blue hands create a good contrast on the light yellow-gold dial. It has all the functions (day, date, month) plus the moonphase, one expects from a grand-complications watch. The moon-phase is a real working one. The wooden box is also very nice.
The Shipper “The Watch Emporium” – excellent service, shipped it to Istanbul Turkey in abt. a week.
I strongly recommend this to everyone. You will not regret it.
Quartz ??? Of course yes. Don’t you need accuracy? …

I received this watch as a father’s day gift this weekend. As my excited 7yr old daughter helped me open it, I was very surprised to find a well crafted wooden box. Upon opening it I was treated to a great surprise – a moon phase watch! I had a moon phase from another vendor watch brand many years ago and I really liked that style. This Eric Edelhausen Calypso watch is even more attractive than my prior watch. This is my first Eric Edelhausen watch so I wasn’t sure what to expect.

As I removed the watch from the well padded, over-sized wooden box, the first thing I noticed is the weightiness; this ain’t your dad’s average Timex! The Calypso feels solid and the band is a good stiff high quality leather. The gold plating on the the outside is bright and lightly brushed – its not shiny. The back plate appears to be solid stainless steel. The watch face has lighter golden tone and the lettering is a crisp, roman font.

After giving it the once over, the second thing I noticed is that the seller preset all the month, day, date, moon, and time dials! Such attention to detail is astounding for a mail order business these days. I immediately put the watch on and I must say it looks very respectable; I really like the retro styling. I’ve not seen a finer watch in this style! I could not be happier with my father’s day weekend gift.

PS – I’m told by my wife that the vendor,The Watch Emporium, was very prompt in their shipping. The purchase went smoothly. Hope y’all find this review helpful.

    Swatch Women’s Zeb Watch GO107

Nice watch. I had a Swatch years ago which I loved and wanted to get another one. Some people may find the face hard to read and the ticking may be annoying, but I don’t mind either. If you intend to wear it while you sleep the ticking will be annoying.

Excellent watch. Nothing wrong. I’m a watch collector and I’m impress with the quality on this watch. Victorinox Swiss Army made a great job to build this watch. The color combination between black and red looks very sporty on the face of the watch. I highly recommend it.

Victorinox Swiss Army Men’s 241301 Classic Silver Dial Watch

I first saw this watch at a Timeworks store for $1095 thought it was a nice looking masculine watch. Well look at it this way it stopped me as I walked by and I had just been by the Breitling store and was more interested in the Bently Speed 8 model car in the window. I was browsing Amazon when I saw this watch for $657 used super saver shipping and it took about 8 working days to Hawaii. Product arrived with no issues. It looks better on my wrist than it did in the showcase. I’m pretty small but 45mm size looks impressive. The watch is steel not titanium but wieght is not a problem. The PVD Black Ice finish is very durable. Couple features that would make this product a five star watch. Digital display not backlit (you will lose the use of digital in the dark but analog hands have good luminesence) a screwdown crown would make me more comfortable about water resistance. This watch has been called a poor mans Breitling Aerospace. That would be a kinda fair comparison the Breitling has backlit digital at about $2800+ on the low end but the Swiss Army’s angled digital display windows look more tech/modern and the huge numbers are easier to read. I frequently wear ORIS watches but usually get “what brand is that” even from watch counter people. At $657 this watch is a steal the brand is reliable and respected.

Purchased the Victorinox 241301 Silver Dial watch for myself through Amazon.com. Yesterday, the number 2 (on the bezel) fell off and is inside the bezel face. When I enquired about the warranty through Amazon, I was told that they only cover the mechanics. The warranty card that was included with my watch was not stamped so it’s absolutely useless at any Victorinox dealer. I really like the watch but its less than 2 months old, not worn often and the number falling off is definitely a defect. I”m sure if purchased from Victorinox, they would warranty it. DON’T BUY FROM AMAZON. You might save a few dollars but if you have any warranty issues, you’ll end up paying MORE in the long run. BUYER BEWARE.

Like one of the other reviewers the number 5 fell off mine so i sent it back to Amazon. witch were great as it was broken. they refounded in full..but i can not understand why such an expencive watch falls to bits that easy.will not buy another one from that make.

Reviews:Victorinox Swiss Army Men’s 241479 Alliance Black Chronograph Dial Watch

I found it very surprising that this item had not yet had any reviews…This Victorinox watch is absolutely gorgeous! It avoids being overly flashy but still shines and stands out in a very classy way. Its construction is very solid and “heavy”, yet it is very easy to wear, hardly noticeable in fact. I would have originally preferred to own it with metal armband but the calfskin construction band adds to its classiness. I would have loved to see this watch with the trademark red Victorinox emblem to add just a touch a flair, but besides this minor takeaway I have been extremely pleased.
